Subscription Policy
Since 1995 the Foundation Joint Implementation Network in the Netherlands (JIN) has published and distributed the JIQ free-of-charge. Currently, the mailing list contains almost 2000 subscribers from over 140 countries. About one-third of the subscribers are from the EU, about one-third from the non-EU industrialized countries and about one-third from developing countries.
Regarding the future JIQ subscription policy we would like to inform you as follows. Basically, JIN will keep publishing and distributing free of charge four JIQ issues per year. However, JIN has decided, with a view on the presently available electronic mailing techniques, including the possibility of sending documents in a portable document format (PDF), to place every new subscriber from an industrialized country (= listed in Annex II of the UNFCCC) on an electronic mailing list. These subscribers will regularly receive the JIQ as a PDF via e-mail.
New subscribers from countries in Central and Eastern Europe or from developing countries will still receive the JIQ in hard copy format, unless they indicate that they prefer (quicker) e-mail subscription. New subscribers from industrialized countries (Annex II countries) that wish to receive the JIQ in hard copy format by regular mail, could request JIN to place them on the mailing list for hard copies of JIQ, but in that case JIN will charge them euro 50 for four JIQ issues in order to cover the additional costs of printing and mailing.
In sum, new subscribers from the Annex II region (of the UNFCCC) can:
Subscribe to an electronic version of JIQ free-of-charge.
Subscribe to a hard copy version of JIQ (4 issues) at a price euro 50.
