Parliament to speak about domestic offsets
In the week of 4-6 October (when I am in Panama for the global carbon market), there will be a debate in the Parliament about changes to the Dutch CO2 Trade Law. After meetings with VVD, CDA, PvdA, they hade asked questions about Domestic Offsets (Art 24a ETS).
The government is still negative towards this option (see document MvT of the Law:

In the same time there is an ongoing effort in NL about potential Green Deals (innovation without subsidy...). I tried to get 'domestic offsets;' s element in there as well. Again, the government did like this, but iut may be part of some draft deals, on waste heat and on green building.
Anyway, keep you posted!
